Alexis Letourneau is a performer and educator in the Athens and Atlanta, Georgia areas.

Alexis recieved her Bachelor's of Music Education from the University of Georgia studying flute under Angela Jones-Reus. She has participated in masterclasses with Marianne Gedigian, James Hall, Michel Hasel, and is a 2018 Bang On A Can Fellow.

As a flutist and singer, Alexis collaborates with performers, composers, and artists, improvising and comissioning new works. As an educator, Alexis frequently teaches throughout Athens and Atlanta, conducting private flute lessons and flute sectionals for middle and high school students. Because of her vocal background, Alexis has also directed and written arrangements for her collegiate a capella group.

In addition to her musical pursuits, Alexis enjoys the color green, learning new languages, watching sunsets, coding, going to art museums, reading Franz Kafka and Haruki Murakami, and watching Twin Peaks.

Incongruency is an Athens-based new music ensemble. With their non-traditional instrumentation, the ensemble strives to broaden the function and repertoire of contemporary chamber music through improvisation and newly commissioned works.

Safety Second is an Athens-based flute and percussion duo that seeks to break the barrier between performer and audience. To reach diverse audiences, the group frequently commissions genre-bending music influenced by popular and contemporary classical music styles. The group also doubles as a vocal/synth duo, performing covers and original works.
